September 11, 20178 yr OK, to walk back/restate: I believe in profiling . Every driver of tour buses, minivans , taxis ,moto taxis, and all thai males driving pickups and motos should be tested. In my opinion it would be over 25 percent.

I get out and about all times of day and night and have never seen random drug testing in 12 years. The fact it is making the news indicated how unusual it is. With regards to walking:my understanding is the unfortunately victims of this vile drug testing were all drivers not walkers unlike Bangkok Sukhumvit where pedestrians were targeted. I don't go to the areas mentioned in the video, one of which has a reputation for gang and gun battles. If it spreads to other areas of Pattaya I will move out.

It used to be quite regular some years ago when the police raided clubs in Walking Street in the early hours and tested for drugs - not heard about any recently but that is always a possibility under the current regime........
