Was after some answers if anyone could take 5 mins to share there knowledge.

1. My g/f hopes to visit uk in August, I will be in Thailand next month - is it possible to get the vistor visa for august while i'm there - if so how ? (we've known each other 4 years with photos to prove)

2. I understand i need supporting evidence - do we need to take originals or will photocopys be ok ?

3. She presently owns a house and car but has little money in the bank will this be a problem, also a loan for the car in her name would showing these payments benefit or hinder the application ?

Really appreciate any help with this.

I'll answer your questions in the order you asked them:-

1. The longest a visa can be post-dated is 3 months. Consequently, if your girlfriend's visa was issued in February and post-dated for 90 days, it would be effective from May 2007 until November 2007. Therefore, if your girlfriend intends only to visit for a shortish period, then the timescale should work.

2. You will need originals. If, for reasons of security, you don't want to relinquish your original docs, then certified copies will do.

3. In a strange way, the loan arguably works as a reason for her to return to Thailand. This, coupled with her house and car ownership, presumably employment, and your length of relationship, should be sufficiently persuasive, despite not having too much money in the bank.

All the best,

Scouse.
