Russian drunk driver charged as woman in hospital with head injuries

PHUKET: -- A Russian man face serious charges which may incur years in jail for a drunk-driving accident in Rawai last night (Sept 12) that left a local woman in hospital with head injuries.

 

Russian national Julian Ranmer, 35, as named by police, was charged for drunk driving after he initially refused to take a breath test after his rolled his car on the main road through Saiyuan last night.

 

Lt Sakkarin Sangjaroen of the Chalong Police together with rescue workers arrived at the scene, in front of the 7-Eleven store on Saiyuan Rd, at 8:30pm.

Not that we will find out the outcome of any trial on here.

I've lost count of articles that mention possible severe sentences, that just disappear from here, and never get mentioned ever again.

Russian =Severe prison sentence.......Thai=500 Baht fine and many Wai's !

Drink driving scum, hope he gets maxed out in court. After being nearly killed by one of these scum and suffering permanent injuries I have a personal prejudice.

He was just following Thai customs of getting very,very,very drunk then having a spectacular car crash.
