FamilyMart, determined to continue fulfilling its mission of satisfying all moments of daily life to meet the needs of consumers in the 4.0 age, has taken its services forward to one-stop shopping.

Recently, the convenience-store chain joined hands with Kerry Express to break the rules of traditional parcel delivery to satisfy SMEs with 24-hour parcel delivery, along with the expansion of more than 300 branches this year.

Nowadays, new technologies and services are playing key roles in supporting the rapidly changing behaviours of consumers, and this includes using online shopping services and financial transactions through e-payment channels.

Therefore, the convenience store is increasingly playing a key role in presenting new services to reach and respond to the needs of consumers, the company explained.

Chiranun Poopat, president of Central FamilyMart, said on Tuesday: “In addition to providing 24-hour freshness of our food products, FamilyMart also aims to provide our customers with assured quality and convenient services to fulfill every need, so the customer’s life can be simpler and more convenient.

“Currently, we have expanded our services by allying with Kerry Express to support ‘Online Business’ which relies on fast delivery, and offering payment services in multiple options such as credit card, Rabbit card, Alipay or 1 card, instead of using cash, to support the behaviour of both Thais and tourist customers moving to a cashless society in the digital era.”

My experience of Kerry is that they give very poor service.

Items from Lazada never arriving and when ordered from other firms the driver will make no attempt to deliver to the address but will phone and say they are waiting in the middle of town and if we want the package to meet them there.

Complaints seem to fall on deaf ears.

My experience is the opposite. In the past 5 years we've had three different drivers on this route, and they always phone 15-20 minutes before they arrive, walk the parcels up to the door...and if COD I sometimes have to remind them to take the money LOL... pleasant folks.

For me too.

Had a couple of deliveries through Kerry Express and they will find or call on advance.

Once ordered some stuff from Bangkok around noon, arrived after breakfast next day which baffled me.

And that is "far out" in the sticks.

Not even a Family Mart in the whole district (only multiple 7/11)

Glad you two have a better experience than we have had. Hopefully just a local aberration only we have to put up with. Just frustrating how a local delivery driver can simply refuse to deliver to a home address and expects the customer to drop everything, leave home and collect from him wherever he chooses to park up.

Its about time familymart did this, 7-11 is losing out by not offering a service like this. In countries like Taiwan, you can send and receive parcels at all 7-11, some even partner up with laundromats to send and receive laundries as well. But I'm sure 7-11 will offer the same service soon.

I also have good experiences with Kerry, driver who runs my route always call a head and delivers to my door step. If I'm not home, he always reschedules.
