Police in Pathum Thani are keeping an open mind after a man and a woman were found shot in the head in a Lam Lukka condominium.

 

They have called for detailed forensic evidence such as gunshot residue to be examined in the case before they can say what happened.

 

Security at the condo was alerted following a neighbor hearing "2 or 3" shots ring out. At a seventh floor room condo staff said they had found the door locked and used a spare key. It was on the chain so they cut that off with a hacksaw.

 

Inside they found the grisly scene and called the Khukhot police.

 

Dead on the bed was 31 year old Chanaphon Chaikhaet. He had been shot through the right temple the bullet exiting through the left temple. A short shotgun was found next to his body.

 

On the floor next to the bed was his girlfriend Phatra Ditsri, 28 also shot in the right temple. A .45 gun was next to her body along with a spent casing and an unused bullet on the floor. Another bullet was still in the chamber, reported Thai Rath.

 

Evidence of drugs use was found in a trash can in the room. On the walls were many Samurai style swords and other knives for show.

 

Security guard Prasert Traiwet, 64, told reporters that the couple had only rented the property in the last month and kept themselves to themselves.

 

Police mentioned jealousy, drugs or a personal dispute as possible motives but have called for a full forensic examination and autopsy to determine what happened.
