where this paper with rules comes from, there I have no desire to be whatsoever.
this are rules of an informal organization, or in this case group of bikers.
got nothing to do with Law.
build a playground and apply your rules there, do not endanger other people, or try to impose your internal rules on others.
Unless you do not like freedom, then you are on track.

It's illegal and they have absolutely no right to obstruct other road users. A considerable number of motor bike readers here seem to think that the traffic laws don't apply to them - ignore traffic signals, red lights, ride the wrong way up roads, don't bother with crash helmets, carry several children and pets on their bike, allow underage kids to ride, etc etc.

Up to them. But they can't complain if they get splattered and certainly won't get any sympathy.

Just shut up will ya.

I find it amusing that "netizens were up in arms" because southern neighbours rode through red lights. In my limited experience of driving in Thailand for more than ten years the Thais drive through red lights more than occasionally, unless green light happened when they went through... Just saying (and I'll probably be banned again)

Bikers mentality is shit. In every country...

Jealous?

Hot chick you fancied in your youth had no interest in your fashionable clothes, latest brogues, sweet haircut and fresh shave, job promotion blah blah.... instead... she had the hots for the unshaven dirty, black fingernailed rebel on his loud motorcycle who worked down the local tyre fitters.

Mmm, thought so.

People like you always did have an inferiority complex. Best go back to preening yourself in front of the mirror

There is a very big difference between a convoy, with police arranging free passage,
and a gang of whoever taking the law in their own hands.

Are people on motorbikes so immature that they cannot travel in smaller groups and gather at a predetermined place?.
Similar to Chinese cars clans that are just impeding the flow of traffic, and some even refuse overtakers to merge back into "their" lane.

Hmm,...Do you know the saying "when in Rome do as the Romans" ? well this goes for Thailand to, "When in Thailand do as ....".???

:cheesy:

good idea, am here to enjoy life, not to improve the world.
Nevertheless, road abuse p.... me off big time, especially when driving a lot of KM every week and some jokers are blocking the road. Be they minivans, motorbikes, holiday travellers, or tourbuses, that ride on the middle line on the one KM where one can overtake and continue driving 90 KM instead of 60 and having to hit the brake on every turn because someone does not know how to keep a vehicle between two lines when going into a bend.
My favorites-not are the ones that speed up to close the gap to their buddy when someone is overtaking and there is oncoming traffic. Great fun.
Solution: leave one hour earlier and doodle along.

WOW........ This is exactly opposite of what 'reality is'.........

First off -- those 'babes' you bikers got were from the bottom of the barrel, left-overs, after all the 'good women' had found 'men with potential'... LOL...

next -- they were only "Hot chicks" in your 'drugged/drunk feeble minds'..... Minds that aren't capable of thinking 'straight' about others rights, only your own selfish wants....... (eg: unlawfully stopping  traffic for selfish 'gang' motives)......

In my youth I was a 'Greyhound Bus Driver' and and it was only my 'good judgement and straight thinking' that kept me from 'running over' a lot of 'selfish, road-hogging' Gang-Bikers........... And as a Greyhound Bus Driver, on my layovers at 'away from home places' I had amazing luck of meeting a young lady travelling with me who was happy to 'Lay over with me'

You think people are 'Jealous' of you guys and your 'bottom of the barrell 'babes''........................ Only one fitting thought comes to mind --- "You CAN'T FIX stupid"

Wow. Are you like really old and grumpy. Your post is completely :offtopic2: except for your first sentence. As for your first sentence I'd have to say grow up. If this run was controlled by police that's exactly what they'd do. Didn't take long and nobody was really inconvenienced. As for the rest of your off topic post could you please state the video time marks where you see these guys without helmets, going the wrong way up roads, carrying several children etc.

Wow............ You don't comprehend what you read very well.......... He was using some examples of 'flagrant violations' by others...... Nothing to do with 'this particular video'....... And he was 'ON TOPIC' addressing this OP biker gang 'selfish' violation of the law.......... If they were a 'proper and legal' Convoy (in Thailand) they could have had Police Escort to stop traffic as they do for 'Royalty and High Ranking Officials' .....Do you think that these 'gang Bikers' would qualify as 'Royalty or High Rankers'.... LOL.....

So it's ok for any group who fancies to ignore the law and do as they please in "every civilized country" is it?

I've done it once or twice in the US for bikes escorting a funeral procession for a fallen soldier, when police escort wasn't available.

The person you were ripping in his post to the OP was correct in his reply and you were unable to see it so I was trying to help you understand....

Appears it was fruitless....... I contest that my reply that you replied to above was accurate as well....... all I can assume from your 3 emoji as a reply is that you are either too lazy (like most one-liner replies) or don't have a convincing reply......... LOL.........

Go back and re-read it a few more times until you know what he (and I) was saying...........

Seems the US ARMY takes better care of It's 'Fallen Soldiers'.............................. and therefore I can only surmise that you actually mean a 'fallen MC biker Gang-member'..... "when police escort wasn't available." can only mean that the police did not recognize a need for such escort and therefore what you did was taking the law into your own hands (illegal as I see it) and luckily 'got away with it'......... still don't justify it and sound like what these 'Malaysian Biker Gang' were doing.............

If I got something wrong please clearly explain it to me....... I can't understand most one-line replies or a rolling emoji........ so please take a bit of your time and correct me if I am wrong...... and I will Thank you for it............

Sawadeeken, one incident I recall was the funeral of a young former soldier who did not die while on duty.  I don't recall why there were no police available at the time, perhaps poor planning by the funeral home.  And it was only at an intersection or two while trying to get on a main road.

That was with the Patriot Guard Riders, which I can assure you is no biker gang affair.  We provide escorts, form flag lines at funerals and welcome-home gatherings for returning troops.  I have stood for hours in flag lines in heat, cold and rain at a couple dozen funerals.  I drive a "cage" (4 wheel vehicle), not a bike.  The PGR did not exist when my son was killed in action, or I would have requested their presence.

They don't do it any more in NSW, Australia.  Substantial fines and a loss of demerit points.  But then some on here reckon Oz is uncivilised ,being down under and all that.:wai:

Had you read some of the above comments you would understand it is done for safety reasons. Yes they should have contacted the police to arrange it, but they as a group were riding the safest way.

I have found while riding my bike, the car drivers are as bad as the motorbike riders here, as i am sure you know.

What on earth have crash helmets or lack of got to do with this?

So you support car drivers murdering motorbike riders? What a t$#t you are.

I think they should hold a competition...who can brake Thai traffic laws 'better', Thai or Malaysian. No I'm not serious as it is definitely an irresponsible act to impede traffic but I was just wondering about the Thai notion of 'me first', Ha!

It sounds like you are 'ragging' about 'Baerboxer's post also...... I happen to agree with him...........

You say  -- "Had you read some of the above comments you would understand it is done for safety reasons."I question how you justify saying "for safety reasons"..... who has established that issue of safety????  You???? Those Malaysian Bikers????? Certainly NOT the 'Thai Laws'   If these bikers cared slightly about the law or safety, they would have done one of two things.... 1. requested Police escort ( I personally doubt the RTP would feel they merited escorts).... OR...... 2. When the light changed to red the bikers should have stopped for the red light as if they were 'law abiding' and those who went on ahead slow or stop and wait for them.... But these bikers would never consider doing something that 'impedes' their progress.... but to delay the other 'general public' traffic was no problem...... Only 'selfish concern' --- Not safety concern

Next You say... "Yes they should have contacted the police to arrange it, but they as a group were riding the safest way.".... This 'justification' shows that you think '2 wrongs make a right'.... Never !!!   I sincerely doubt Police would assist a convoy like this, but they didn't have a police escort... sooooo...... They (the bikers) were individual motorists 'Riding in a group' and were covered by laws accordingly... and your notion of them riding the "safest way".... has no more basis than 'just you opinion or defense' in attempt to justify this selfish group's method of operation......

Next you say -- "What on earth have crash helmets or lack of got to do with this? It happens to be 'LAW' many places... similar to LAWS about stopping for red lights.... Unless legally authorized (as ambulances or Police Escorted vehicles)...........

Lastly you say --- "So you support car drivers murdering motorbike riders? What a t$#t you are."  ..........This statement  is like something from a 'Snotty nosed brat' and typical of biker's attitudes  that they are the greatest and to hell with what others think (even the law when they don't like it)........ "car drivers murdering  bikers"??????  Actually it would more like the bikers killing themselves accidently while breaking the traffic laws and not using common road courtesy............ AND another 'snotty one'......."What a t$#t you are." Is this a case of the "pot calling the kettle black".. I really doubt that you are so 'upright' or 'Pious' to be saying such a thing to another human being....... remember --- "with what judgement you judge - so shall you be judged..............

And also remember that I am only writing this post to you in defense of another poster who I believe was 'right' and then see him 'torn apart' by you with your rediculous justifications.........
