Arrest warrants have been issued for three more suspects in the October 2 robbery of 197.96 million yen (Bt59 million) from a Bangkok jewellery exporter, police said on Tuesday.

Metropolitan Police Bureau deputy chief Pol Maj Gen Sompong Chingduang urged the three suspects – identified as Methawin Lertpittayakul, 31, Pakorn Thammarat, 34, and Anucha Pinijpolm 27 – to surrender to police before they were arrested.

Sompong told reporters after the case investigators’ meeting at the Paholyothin precinct that so far arrest warrants had been issued for seven individuals.

One suspect, named as Natthapong Thanyatoon, 33, remains at large.

The six in custody are Narongchai Sawasdiphol, 32, Chawalit Charoenpol, 31, Surasak Srithawong, 35, Pongsak Pitasiripan, 31, Krissada Atthawet, 30, and Sarayuth Ritchainuwat, 31.

Except for Natthapong and Sarayuth, the suspects were current and former employees of the victim, gold and jewellery exporter Pattharit Taerattanachai.

I'm guessing Thailand is up there among the top three in issuing arrest warrants in the world, but unfortunately in the top three for non-arrests too !

You must admit though, the speed with which they have issued arrest warrants is amazingly fast in comparison with... oooh... say... the red bull heir. Those wonderful Bib, really showing what they can do eh?
