Naked woman found dead in Bangkok house

By The Nation

A 57-year-old housemaid, whose week-old decomposed body was found on Thursday night at a retired Army general's two-storey house in Bangkok's Phayathai district, was said to have been sick two weeks earlier, Metropolitan Police Bureau 1 deputy chief Pol Colonel Chayut Marayat said on Friday.

The woman, whose name was withheld, had been working for some years as the maid and caretaker of the unoccupied house in Soi Phaholyothin 2 for a former advisor at the Defence Ministry, General Wichai Hongsakul.

Wichai's son-in-law Wisal Cherd-areekit, 42, who went to the house on Thursday night and discovered the body, told police he had two weeks earlier advised the maid to go and see a doctor as she was obviously sick.

Police initially suspected she might have died from an illness because there was no evidence of a struggle, no signs the room had been ransacked and no valuables were missing.

They have not ruled out rape, however, as the woman was found naked, Chayut said.

The results of tests carried out on the woman are likely to be known next week.

Seems the reporter is addicted to the word naked? Lets say a mature Thai woman's body was found in an unoccupied house that appears to be decomposed, post mortem will hopefully identify the reason for the deceased.  It appears sensationalism in headings dont really cover the contents, Donald might say Fake News.

I totally agree with you, sensationalism at its best.
