Crime Suppression Division police raided a rented property in Bangkok yesterday and arrested four Koreans for running football betting websites.

Apprehended in the basement of the rented house in Soi Preedee Phanom Yong 14, Klong Tan, Wattana district were Jeon Jin, 43, Bek Min Soo, 44, Lee Kwor Jae, 39 and Hong Lee Khun, 38.

They were caught red handed operating four websites and a number of computers and hard disc evidence was taken away.

The Koreans admitted renting the house for 130,000 baht a month since last November.

Their operation gave them a profit of 30 million won a month. This is approximately 876,000 baht.

I can understand the joy and fun of living and spending money in Thailand.  I guess gambling in Korea like this is illegal.  So what do these guys get charged with here in Thailand?  And if caught, do the Thai officials report that to the Korean officials and the guys may have to face the same penalties in Korea as they would if they had been operating in Korea?
