I bought from Powerbuy and they had 3 different sizes and i managed to get it chucked in for free, mind you the machine was a bit pricey. Regarding the electric cover i believe it refers to the plug socket. It should be a proper outside socket and these have a hinged plastic shield to protect it from the elements.I would think if the property is fairly new any outside supply would be of this spec. A dedicated breaker might be a good idea, perhaps the electric experts could comment.

An RCD / RCBO would certainly be a good idea if you don't already have an overall one. Outdoor sockets should be on an independent breaker anyway in case the wet gets in but if it's under a roof rather than out in the full weather it will be fine. "I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"
November 2, 20178 yr Something to consider. Rats and their love of eating electrical wire coating. Most washing machines come with a plastic rat guard to fill in the space underneath but they still manage to get in.
November 3, 20178 yr Parking the dogs (or cat) if you have them, near the washing machine pretty much takes care of the rat problem.
November 3, 20178 yr i have a 12 year old samsung purchased off credit card points at my house in bkk. its been outside since day 1. no issues at all. covers rats, mosquitos theft or otherwise. some things dont bear overthinking. the one at the beach however slowly disintegrated, but thats a saltwater issue id be careful mounting it however, everything these days seems to end up on social media. I've had mine outside for 3 years. It's a top loader like the one below and the controls are all under plastic.
