13 southern provinces warned of heavy rain, strong winds on Nov 1-3

 

 

The Thai Meteorological Department has issued a warning for 13 provinces in the South to brace for heavy rain and strong winds between Nov 1-3.

 

As of 10am on Nov 1, the tropical depression over the lower South China Sea was 750 kilometres east of Songkhla, or at latitude 7.0 °N, longitude 107.0 °E with sustained winds of 55km per hour.

 

The storm is slowly moving west and expected to move past the tip of Indochina to the Gulf of Thailand on Wednesday night.

 

As a result, the South will be hit by abundant rain and outbreaks of torrential downpours. People should beware of possible flash floods and strong winds.
