Hurry to Bang Saen for "crystal clear waters".

Following all the negative news about pollution on Thailand's coastal areas came a story with a positive spin.

Thai Rath reported that two videos had been made at an area in Bang Saen on Thailand's eastern seaboard that showed clear waters gently lapping at an unpolluted and unspoiled beach.

The videos were posted on a Facebook page called "shopjungbangsaen" - we really like Bang Saen.

Some Thai posters seemed skeptical that such a clean and inviting place still existed after all the negative news with many asking where the videos were taken.

While others wondered if this was a private beach or one with access for the public.

The first of the videos said it was an area near Laem Thaen in the location of the Bang Saen Royal Beach while the second called it Wornnapha Beach, Bang Saen, and posted tide times.

Wherever it is Thai Rath implored potential visitors in their headline to "Hurry to Bang Saen for crystal clear cool water in the cool season".

we had a picnic their a few weeks ago...I did not see the crystal clear waters........quite the opposite...but a nice place to picnic..lets all do our part...don't littler and so no to plastic...

i went there to picnic a while back also...had to move because of the chemical smells...and the water was a dark foamy green...it's amazing that if nature has just a few weeks, it can fix most of the problems people make...

Maybe the same guys, who, by photoshopping, made Pattaya beaches look like 'Miami', also had a hand in these videos and pics.

I lived at Bang Saen for a couple of years and the beach tends to be cleaner at this time of the year, going into winter. Lower temps so less algal blooms, coral spores etc. different wind and current directions, the rain has stopped so less run off. I have noticed that Jomtien beach also always appears cleaner over winter.
