Thai visa validity

Featured Replies

I applied for a 60 day tourist visa and it has arrived. Since I had a potential miscommunication along the way, I want to make sure everything has been done properly. I am due to arrive in Thailand June 27th and want the visa to give me 60 additional days...that would be well into mid August. The sticker they put in my passport says Date of Issue is April 24, 2003 and Date of Expiry is July 23, 2003.

Am I able to stay legally in Thailand for 60 days (until mid August) with this visa?

Thank you for your help.

You will get full 60 days if you enter the Kingdom BEFORE July 23, 2003.
As George says, you are good to go.  The date on the visa it the 'use by' date.  When you enter you will receive an entry stamp (60 days) with a 'leave' time of 25 August.  You could extend this another 30 days if needed without leaving the country.
