Pattaya International fireworks festival.

Featured Replies

I heard it's cancelled due to the budget being allocated to 'protection of the environment'?

Well it was announced as being on at a club meeting I recently went to.

I hope it is still on (17th and 18th), as I have booked a hotel in town for a night.

Another fun filled night in Pattaya, not being allowed to drink and smoke on the beach, falling off those new loungers.

Is that why you can't drink on the beach- the tipsy beach chairs? 5555

Cancelled due to the budgetary rules that no one event can cost over 20% of the total entertainment budget.

This rules out the firework festival, and the music festival.

Pattaya was sure more fun with the Old Mayor.

Both the music festival and the fireworks has been dwindling down in size and budget for the past 3 years or so, and with minimum publicity too, the mourning period is probably convenient in that they can brush the events aside without fuss now

Maybe with the fleet review, with all the navy boats out on the bay, there's sure to be some fireworks though

I think it will be cancelled this year as last year , due to circumstances we all know about.

Loud bangs and explosions are best avoided lest they be mistaken for something else.

The first year was fantastic. The second year was ok. The 3rd year was fair.

Reminds me of the jazz fest in Hua Hin. Up and down. Then out. Sadly.

Well that is not reason given for it already being cancelled.
