BANGKOK, 25 November 2017 (NNT) – The Ministry of the Interior has instructed officials in southern provinces to warn people in their areas of heavy rains this weekend.

Interior Minister Gen Anupong Paochainda has asked responsible agencies in Phetchaburi province to offer assistance to flood victims in various communities.

According to a report, the Ministry of Agriculture and the Royal Irrigation Department are working around the clock to drain flood waters out of affected areas, whereas the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation is responsible for providing food, clean water, and other necessities to the victims.

The flood situation in Phetchaburi is expected to improve overr the next couple of days.

Gen Anupong has also instructed disaster related agencies in the southern region to be on heightened alert following a weather report that the region will be hit by heavy rains and gusty winds this weekend.

Come on Thailand

You can handle it as you all are so good with recycling and rubbish disposal

COME ON YEAH! !!!!!

Not seen the sun for two days in Hat Yai, just steady rain, occasionally heavy.

Sad.... more trash on the road and public health issues with water quality.... however, thanks for the warning.

Perhaps the use of the word "also" between "has" and "asked" would have been appropriate? The last time I looked, Phetchaburi  was not  Southern province - unless they've moved it of course - anything is possible in "Amazing Thailand"! Sorry!  -  it's Sunday - not a lot to do!
