Female Gynaecologist In Udon Thani

Featured Replies

Does anyone know of a good female Gynaecologist in Udon please?

My wife has had intermittent womb discomfort for some months now, with occasional slight bleeding.

She went through the menopause about 4 years ago.

in Udon, best to go to the main government hospital (which is a regional level facility) after hours clinic and ask for a female ajarn.

She is going to need an endometrial biopsy (fairly simple day surgery)

Just to follow up on this, my wife saw Dr Saowanee here in Udon.

She had Ultrasound 'outside & in' which showed she has Fibroids.

Day surgery for a D&C & an endometrial biopsy showed no malignancy.

Huge sigh of relief from both of us - Mrs F more than me if course.

A very worrying time, but no surgery is required at the moment, just a 3 monthly Ultrasound.

Yes it was, I was very pleasantly surprised at the efficiency of the hospital, despite the large numbers of patients.

My wife saw Dr Saowanee at her private clinic. The cost of the in-clinic examinations & for her to do the day op at the hospital was 1500 baht.

Dr Saowanee speaks limited English, but made an effort to explain everything to me.
