Kylie
Hi, Im an Australian. I am allowed to stay in Thailand for 30 days without a visa. I will be working as a volunteer teacher for 1 1/2 months when i arrive then plan to travel for 2 months. So every 30 days i need to cross the border into either Laos or Burma etc to get a new stamp. Can anyone suggest easy places to cross a border and how to get to them????? Thanks.
ajahnlau
All the border entry/exit points are the same. Why not just get a tourist visa before you come? Good for 60 days and can be extended for another 30.

Just as long as you know that working on an entry permit or tourist visa will get you jailed and deported if you are caught. ( and that includes volunteers )

I doubt that any airline will uplift her out of Oz.
dr_Pat_Pong
She went bloody quiet. The IDC didn't appeal to her much I guess.

Certainly less disruptive! And a lot better value than an extension at 1900 baht a time.
