I have a new TV box a MXQ Pro, only a cheapie, but I'm having a hell of a job trying to load apps like Kodi etc. Anyone at Tucom who is good at that stuff?

Yeah I'm a bit of a technophobe, but once you've done it you will wonder what all the fuss was about. Keep trying, you will be proud of yourself when it works. Just follow the youtube vids step by step.

Make sure the YouTube stuff you are looking at is recent because things change very quickly and can be out of date or just not work anymore.

Tuccom:

4th floor  directly next to (in front of)  the stairwell.    Very nice fellow and a lady (wife?) who will  happily assist  and update your box for 100 THB.

Its all pretty easy to do yourself.
Heres an easy program you should like_
Mobdro
Turn your box on,Open your browser and google mobdro.to
Youll see a big red box with downliad mobdro in it.
Click that, then on the top left of your screen youll see a flashing arrow showing you its downloading.
Once its done drag that top left window where the arrow is down and install.
Youll now have loads of channels like itv, hbo, cartoon network and loads more

Maybe it's the box I have that's confusing, or perhaps it's not even working correctly. I did manage (don't ask me how) to get Covenant and Exodus installed, but when I open up the box the next day everything I'd installed had gone.

Covenant is now dead.  As is Exodus.  It's a real pain keeping up with this stuff.  I used this and found it was super easy to setup:

http://kodinolimits.com/magic.htm lots of good discussions here

Why do you say Covenant is dead? I'm still using it.

OK, I'll give the No Limits a try. Thanks

They've got a video that walks you through it.  I'm extremely NON technical.  And I got it to work just fine.

Though overall, I like KODI, I find it a pain to keep up with all the changes.

I miss Exodus!  I miss Covenant!

I'm using Kodi less and less, addons come and go so often that its hardly worth the effort, i now mainly use apps which are easy to install and use. Such as Showbox. These apps come and go too but not as frequently. Tukcom guy will update your box with current apps

No name boxes although cheap are not worth the trouble

T95M isn't a no name box, it's brand Sunvell, one of the largest box producers there is.

There are a few good apps, but they will never be able to replace Kodi.

First of all they are full of ads, some to the extend that they are unusable now, and secondly the selection is very limited.

People stop using Kodi because they don't know how to use or update it.

I've never seen it mentioned on forums before, never in the top tv box list, such as Minix, nvidia, Firestick, etc. If you know it give it a review

The apps have ads but they aren't too bad, usually after watching a movie or episode not during. With kodi you get these new addons then the developer finds his first girlfriend and the addon disappears, some last no time at all. The apps would suit most people who can't be bothered keep installing kodi addons

Because you never heard of it doesn't mean it isn't a decent box.

There are reviews of this box on the most renowned forums likje XDA-developers, Freaktab and Redskull but maybe you also have never heard of those.

Lazada have it for sale, some with reviews (albeit in Thai) but a translator should give you the gist of it.
