A truck snagged overhead cables and pulled down 18 power poles on the outbound lane of Theparak Road in Samut Prakan province on Sunday morning, causing severe traffic jams and leaving nearby residents without electricity.

Following the incident report at 10am, Highway Department officials closed the lane near Soi Thai Prakan while workers from the Provincial Electricity Authority began removing and replacing the damaged poles.

The task, starting at midday, was expected to complete by midnight, according to the Khaosan Muang Prakan Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/maungprakarn/).
