Wichian Reuanthai, 67 - affectionately known as Ta Chian - never completed his education but has always had a love of engineering. Through trial and error he has produced a bike that can run on solar power, engine power or pedal power. His creation has cost the former tugboat worker from Nakorn Sawan just 20,000 baht to make a reality. He is well known as the "P4 Englineer" in Pa Moke, Ang Thong after he left school in primary grade four before he was ten years old. Nothing new here. Moped, - "a motorized bicycle that has pedals in addition to a low-powered gasoline engine designed for low-speed operation." Mopeds have been around for decades.
