Live music in Pattaya

Featured Replies

I know this has been discussed on here before, but I can’t find any recent posts on the subject of Live Music in Pattaya.

I know about the various places in Walking Street, Hot Tuna for example, and I seem to remember there used to be a place in Naklua called Leo’s that had live bands on.

But, what I’m looking for are places like the old Blues Factory.

I’m into Rock ‘n’ Roll (fifties style) modern rock if it’s played well, Jazz, Swing, Blues, Country, Reggae & Ska so not restricting myself to any one genre.

Looking for places in Pattaya, Jomtien, Naklua – any that are on the Baht Bus route or an easy walk from it.

So folks……..any recommendations would be welcomed please.

Just head to Made In Thailand Soi....they rock on into the early morning hours 8 days a week and more....lol....?????

Yes, there is a nice little rock bar on top of Soi Made in Thailand at the corner of second road. At the other end of the soi, Buakhao side, there is a little bar that does live reggae.

Another good venue is Climax at the corner of Soi LK Metro and Buakhao.

And of course, there is always Rolling Live 3 on Soi 8 opposite Subway.

Get down to the Toy bar (goggle) and you will find the best guitar player in Aisa  Peak plays some mean Gary Moore ..

The live reggae caught my eye and I'm trying to understand just where this is. I guess the problem is mostly my unfamiliarity with details like Soi Made in Thailand. Any other clues? Or should I just go look at google maps?
Cheers

Opposite Tesco Lotus near Buakhao food market. It's rather small. Called Trench Town or something.

Edit: There you go

OP here.....

Thanks for the replies so far

Yes I did know about "Climax at the corner of Soi LK Metro and Buakhao." but forgot to include it. Last trip they had a half decent band there and the atmosphere's good too.

I thought Soi Made in Thailand ran between Buakhao and Second Road and on the Second Road end there is a cluster of bars on one corner and this open music bar on the other, almost opposite Central Dept Store and a little bit south of the Night Market. Is that correct?

What is confusing me is "Opposite Tesco Lotus near Buakhao food market" @wump Are you saying that this is the location of "Soi Made in Thailand" or that this is the location of a bar with a reggae band? As of April this year I recall the Tesco Lotus being on the same side of Buakhao as the junction with "Soi Made in Thailand"  and near the row of banks...or is there a new Tesco Lotus?

beware if u request a song some bands will demand and specify money in advance .  this attitude is more prevalent in pattaya.  i have never seen musicians behave this way at a thai venue

Soi Made in Thailand runs, as you say, from nearly opposite Central (at the corner with the loud bar that's going until 6am) to Soi Buakhao, some 20 metres from Lotus. Opposite of the junction there is Trench Town Bar. I hope that clears it up.

There's a big R-CON sign with a beer on it from the entrance of Soi Buakhao to Soi Made in Thailand.

Thank you - that's where I thought Soi Made in Thailand was and am sure I'll find  Trench Town Bar now.

Thanks again @wump  I shall check it out when I arrive next month. I frequent The Marquee Bar anyway (no live music, but good recorded music) and it's not far from there.
