About 600,000 local and International visitors are expected to join the Thailand Tourism Festival 2018, which showcases amazing attractions and fascinating culture from all regions of the country.

The five-day festival will be held at Lumphini Park in Bangkok from 17 to 21 January, between 12.00 and 22.00 hr. Visitors are encouraged to arrive via BTS Sala Daeng Station or the MRT underground Silom Station. The official opening ceremony is scheduled for 18 January at 18.00 hr.
According to the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), the 38th edition of this festival will be made up of 10 zones, which present interesting activities, such as Thainess in five regions. Both Thai and foreign visitors are able to witness a cultural procession from the five regions, starting at 17.00 hr every day.
The unique culinary delights zone offers food from Bangkok’s 50 districts and Thailand’s five regions. There will be cooking demonstrations, giving visitors a taste of the vibrancy of the Kingdom’s cuisine.
TAT has launched its new marketing campaign called "Open to the New Shades of Thailand” to support Thailand’s tourism industry in 2018. The campaign reflects the unique characteristic of the Thai people to welcome visitors from all around the world, regardless of any preference.
It is a genuine form of "Thainess” and inclusive tourism, which is especially important today. The concept can be customized to reach many different customer segments, such as Luxury Travelers, Weddings and Honeymooners, Women, Families, and Gen Y.
It continues to highlight how visitors can discover new Thai local experiences at existing attractions or in emerging tourist destinations covering five unique categories. These include Thai Gastronomy, Arts and Crafts, Nature and Beaches, Culture, and Way of Life.
