EGAT Board approves Bt33 bn investment plan '07

State-run Electricity Authority of Thailand (EGAT), Friday said its Board of Directors has approved a Bt33 billion investment plan for fiscal year 2007, which began in October of last year.

The Bt33 billion investment will support the expansion of transmission system and capacity at its power plants, EGAT said.

Thailand's power demand is estimated at 22,718 megawatts this year, up from 21,064 MW last year, due to economic expansion.
