Jomtien is not so bad

Featured Replies

The proof is in the pudding, yesterday my father had a nice nap on the beach and enjoyed his kip with zero hassles.  Hence, the sleepy time photo below, so no reason for big complaints. Cheers.

Gawd, a sight for sore eyes, I'm glad I've eaten already.

As my school report often said: "Must try harder" You are making Jomtien appear to be akin to Frinton-on-Sea.

How did you get the camera to do that? The left side (foreground water & sand) is in focus but the right side is out of focus at the same distance. You must have one of those fancy cameras with multiple auto-focus points and turned off most of the dots except the left side. Or something. Either that or you have a busted camera. Or perhaps that woman is so big she initiated a gravitic force field that warped space.

Sincere apologies, I did not crop the photo as dear Dad is restless and catching him in a moment of relaxation is challenging.

@jerry921 my camera isn't too fancy but I see now your observation with regards to the Smithsonian type effects and possible gravitational field disruption. Alas, I am no physicist or photographer.

It belatedly occurs to me that if your dad is in the picture, your mum might also be prominently featured. If so, my apologies for wise cracking.

If you have a simple point-and-shoot camera, or that was taken with a phone, I suspect that either the autofocus is broken or the lens has become slightly misaligned (one side pushed in or pulled out relative to the picture capture chip). I'm no photographer either, just a cheap critic. Check if your other pictures are defocused on the right like that.

That really says it all when it comes to Jomtien's wildlife .

Your first post was spot on and no, that is not my mum!

I think they call it a "black hole".

Fortunately I didn't get close enough to observe the particular color or colors.
