Does anyone know what these bugs are?

Please see images.

Lately I've had alot of these unknown bugs inside my condo. They crawl and fly out of no where. They don't bite or anything.

Exterminator has come inside but couldn't identify what it is...

I have seen them in large bags of rice, especially if the rice has been purchased from a local seller ( not in town center ), of various rice qualities.   The rice shop may even be de-hulling rice.

I hope for, your sake, it is not such a beetle otherwise you will have a lot of house cleaning to do.

Not sure where you live but, your local council office or even health clinic should be able to identify the beetle and suggest eradication methods.

I had them once from a contaminated bag of rice brought to me by some friends from their Isan farm.  By the time I realized my apartment was infested, they were into everything.  The only solution was to throw out any opened food containers:  Pasta, flour, bread, sugar, corn starch, ect, everything not in a sealed can.  Even some unopened boxes, corn flakes for example, had been infested and had to be tossed.  Vegetables stored outside the fridge: onions, potatoes, ect also were tossed.

I had to wipe down and spray all my shelves, drawers and cabinets as well as any nooks and crannies around my food area. Even gave a good scrubbing to my kitchen trash can and stove area.

Even with all that, I still saw a few in other parts of the apartment.  Ended up basically moving every piece of furniture, cleaning and spraying. fortunately, they didn't infest upholstered furniture or bedding.

BTW, I quickly learned to wear a facemask when spraying and to only spray when I was about to go out.  I just used the standard insect spray available at supermarkets.

This was several years ago and they haven't appeared since but I am very careful storing rice.  Now always in a tightly sealed container.

Freeze uncooked rice. No problem for the rice, but it kills any insects.

The same for flour.
