Has anyone here in Thailand ever ordered From Newegg Thailand?

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I went to the Newegg website and was asked if I wanted to switch to the Newegg Thailand site and I did. All prices are quoted in THB. Has anyone here ever ordered? How is it with Royal Thai customs, if I would order an Apple MacBook?

Many international websites do this, primarily just changing the currency and/or display language, while other times the items displayed are specific to what's imported or allowed for sale in the country selected.

Your NewEgg site, when selecting Thailand, seems to be reducing the amount of items displayed for sale into Thailand. I specifically chose to display Microsoft items (that have export/import restrictions on many items) and sure enough what was available as being shipped to you from US, CA, CH, an UK was significantly reduced and shipped only from the US and CH.

Another thing to watch out for is the conversion rate. Sites will even charge your purchase in the chosen currency so you may wind up richer or poorer for your experience if you don't watch how they're processing the charge/payment.

If something is shipped from China it might not have the customs charges.

May have to give it a try sometime in the future.
