Double murder reenactment descends into chaos as police chief gives up after five minutes

Featured Replies

In the West no one bothers with this charade. It destroys any chance of a legitimate ID of a suspect by a witness, makes someone incriminate themselves without assistance of a lawyer.

Nothing to do with justice, just showboating by the police, who are part of the circus.

Shoots three people killing two because he was stressed and had been teased? Shame the crowd didn't get their hands on him.

Three years ago The Big Pumpkin ordered the Police to stop doing 'Re-enactments' as they served no purpose.    Seems the Police here take as much notice of him as everyone else....including Lottery ticket sellers and Taxi Drivers !

They weren't told to stop re-enactments, they were told to stop parading suspects in front of the media for press conferences.

Absolutely right. Lawlessness is the way to go. The good ol' eye for an eye. Society doesn't need jails just lots of rope and trees.

You talking crap I lived in Australia for 40 odd years I never witnessed any violence in all the years

(I am not saying there isn't any at all) lived for 4 years in Thailand and seen fights on a daily basis

Still cannot figure out why they do this process of reenactment... what does it actually achieve?

PR for the police. They like getting their photos and names in the paper in ways that make it SEEM like they're actually doing their jobs.

The ridiculous charade of re enactment. It was banned by our esteemed leader but the BIB will not be denied the photos in the media.  Now you know why Thai drivers flee the scene..:saai:

Well, the video proves that Thais learn by noon (old African saying). Takes them a while, but then they get it.

In this case, the cars were leaving. You waited too long, Somchai!

What puzzles me why do they have to do an reenactment of the crime. The guy handed himself in and confessed. Take 5 minutes to convict him in court so why go through all this b/s ?

Even more chaotic than the herding of Russians I just watched. Since the guy had confessed really what is the point of this silliness other than to put the 'suspect' in danger and incite the public!

It gets the faces of the cops on TV ....

"Shame the crowd didn't get their hands on him". Would you like justice at the hands of the mob? Such a comment lacks merit and intelligent though of the consequences.

 . . . a proud moment for the police chief and his assistants . . .

. . . as they show off their porky breakfast bellies to the public - their main purpose seemingly being to tell the locals, "You, too, can have a 40" (sorry . . . 100cm) gut if you join the police force." I think I'd give up, after carrying one of those pods around for 5 minutes. With waistlines like that, they'd never be considered for most other police forces, that are looking to recruit men who can manage 100m in 12secs . . . and whilst running in the right direction.

Gosh i wanted to see the reenactment of the reenactment.

Coming to a TV screen near you . . . part of His Bigship's Friday spectacular, maybe, if the chain-of-command could cope with that time-scale.

Re-enactments have never been banned.  Suspects paraded in press conferences were though.

This explains why they classified stab wounds as suicide. Plenty in Pattaya, only to farangs.
