Hi,

I'm hoping to stay in Bangkok for four months this year, and have found four possible apartments to choose from. Can anyone offer any comments on any of these places. Main priorities are room internet access and being close to a BTS station. Below 15,000 baht would also be preferable.

I have found two posts regarding the above, one positive and one claiming to have had their deposit stolen.

Blue Wana Place, 243 Soi Sukhumvit 89, Sukhumvit Rd.

This has no website but does have a listing on Thaiapartment.com.

I stayed at the Nonsi Residence for 4 months last year while I was looking for a job and apartment. The job I found required that I move closer as it is in Bangna otherwise I may have elected to stay. iThe apartment isnt in the best location as far as restaurants but the rooms and swimming pool were in excellent condition. The staff is very helpful and I had no problem getting my deposit returned to me on the day I moved out. You can also use the wireless internet in the lobby if you have a laptop with you for free.

Speaking as an owner of some condos I can tell you now some tennats are absolutely disgusting pigs who would be better off at a trough. We have gone into our condos after the tenant has gone to find they have never cleaned at all in 6 months, left beer glasses half full all over the condo, nub ends dropped everywhere (in a no smoking condo) old dirty clothes, blood all over the bed linen and matresses etc etc. We do not give them back their deposit if we find them like this.

i always replace all items that get dirty so its new matresses , bins sheets and sofa covers form their deposit which usually costs us at least 15-20000 baht. deposit is 30000 which we then have to spend on r e painting and cleaning which I do personally.

Just to let you know how it looks from the owners point of view.

If you are interested you can look at our website www.sukanyacondo.com we have one studio available now 14000 per month 500 meters to On nut BTS. 100% clean. Please no dumb gags about "what a waste" ie "half empty beer glasses " etc

i red a recent thread somewhere commenting about our condos where someone said "nice new place with sofa bed great to bring a friend home with and let them puke up on".

Customers want a nice clean place whenn they move in so why leave it like a pig sty when they move out ?

If you know the address, know what is there and that's what you want, the only thing I can say is that the attached Rajah Hotel is (was 3 yrs ago) a dump, in dreadful state and that you can hope the mansion is not like that.

If you intend to do anything with teaching, you would probably want not to have that address.
