Phuket waste management strategy to target local government offices

PHUKET: Phuket Vice Governor Thawornwat Kongkaew yesterday (Feb 26) spearheaded a drive for improved solid-waste management across the island, with the initial focus on how waste is managed by Phuket municipalities and local administration organisations (OrBorTor) themselves.

 

The push came at a seminar held at the at Royal Phuket City Hotel attended by Phuket City Mayor Somjai Suwansupana and Virog Pootong, a mater’s degree lecturer at the Prince of Songkla University, Phuket campus, Faculty of Technology and Environment.

 

“Phuket has community management problems,” V/Gov Thawornwat said blankly.

on the bright side, even though it’s taken years.... and years... at least he’s said it, even if “blankly”.... now we can watch everyone else in office “blankly” ignore his comment ?????
