there are several threads around - one of them, as fresh as yestarday is here

it's a largish kitchen to walk around - especially walking from the cooker to the fridge. Myself I have a smaller one (the open style, as a part of a dining/sitting room) inside of the house for a smaller, faster meals and another one outside the house for a larger ones and for a thai style cooking.

The hood above the cooker might be not good enough for the smoke from the thai stirr-frying - not only the pungent smell but the oily dirt from the burned fat will cover your kitchen. For that reason I would place the cooker closer to the windows and kitchen door.
