The DIMA is now the Department of Immigration and Citizenship....and Vanstone has been replaced by Andrews....

Will this be a change for the better....only time will tell...Dis Honest John fella has long been known for his anti Asian stance so we may well see some changes to immigration policies especially regards migration from Asean countries.

lets see good changes, like all successfull tourist visa applicants get a coupon for a free 24 pack of VB stubbies from any participating Woolworths, and all successfull migrant visa applicants get a 2 free packs..........

Well the govt aren't gonna get any votes by making entry to Oz easier (particularly for Asians) but they could get a few by being seen as tightening up the entry procedures (particularly for Asians and non-WASPS).

I'm sure the new minister will be well aware of Howard's long-held anti asian sentiment and will be only too happy to pander to him.
