What is the difference between a 4 bht electric unit and an 8 bht electric unit?

How many watts is each? (KW)?

The price.

Do you know the difference?

Are they both equal in the amount of energy ?

is it 1 KW?

1 Unit is 1 kWh. Government rate is ~4THB per unit. Everything over that goes straight to the landlord (which isn't too bad if you have public elevators etc., but THB 8 / Unit is taking the piss)

The normal PEA/MEA consumption rate is around 4 baht/kwh.   It does not matter what size meter you have, 5/15, 15/45 or 30/100.  In order to qualify for that rate your house has to be finished and a blue book issued.  During the construction you can get a temporary meter but the rate is higher.  I don't know what that rate is.  If you are renting, the landlord is paying the 4 baht rate but can charge you whatever he/she  wants.

I don't know what that rate is.

It's actually about 8 Baht.

To our OP, a unit is a unit (1 kWhr), the only difference is the price.
