Marriage Documents at Banglamung Amphur

If you or anyone you know has gotten the necessary marriage certificate at the Amphur on Sukhumvit Road in Pattaya in the past few years, which documents, in addition to the notarized affidavit, certified passport face page and translations, do they require?

The 2 main Documents is a "free to marry" affidavit/stat dec, and if previously married, "divorce documents". Both documents stamped/certified by your consulate as being real/original, Then translated and the translation certified by MFA.

I cant recall if certified and translation of passport was required. If you are going to consulate and MFA to get the other documents, also get passport doc in case its needed.

She's 34, so age is no problem. My question is: Assuming we get to the Amphur at 8:30am when they open and assuming there's no line, how long will we need to spend there before getting the marriage certificate?

I forgot to add, we will have all the necessary documents and translations from MFA  with us.

I'm still hoping to get an answer. If the Ampu opens at 8AM,M-F, if we get there at 8AM abd if there is no line and if our docs are in order, how long before we pay and get the marriage certificate? How much is it?

I don't remember it taking excessively long. I do remember it is a bit longer if she takes on your surname and needs to do a name change also as she will need to make a new id card. I am not sure if you can do that another day or not but my wife did it that day. anyway, it took us a few hours. keep in mind their lunch break at midday though. if it's not completed before then you will get a queue card and have to go away for an hour while staff eat lunch.  funny I never seemed to notice entire government offices shutting down for lunch where I am from. maybe they should learn to structure breaks.

So if we keep our separate names and show up, documents in hand, at 8:30AM, is it to optimistic to think we can leave with the marriage certificate in hand, by 10:30, give or take a few minutes?  By the way, how much is the certificate?

I cant recall it taking any more than 1-2 hours or so, from memory we arrived around lunchtime and it was done by mid afternoon. The time was waiting for your turn, the actual marriage thing was maybe 30 mins. I cant recall any significant cost involved, hundreds of Baht, not thousands.

Thanks! Do you remember having to bring a certified copy of your passport's face page plus the current visa page?

As I said in post 2, cant recall.
