PHUKET: The driver of a car sustained injuries earlier today when he rear-ended a parked tour bus on bypass road.

 

Capt Ronnapoom Permpoon of the Phuket City Police was notified of an accident at the U-turn in front of the Bank of Ayudhya (Krungsri) on Chalermprakiat Rama 9 Rd at 3:30am today (Mar 16).

 

Kusoldharm rescue workers arrived at the scene to find a Phuket-registered Honda City car smashed into the back of a Bangkok-registered tour bus belonging to the Trans Asia Express Co Ltd.

BRAKE FAILURE

Any blood samples taken to check alcohol levels? Or is it considered normal Thai driver incident?

Why would you assume that this person that hit a huge, unmissable, stationary object at 3.30 am would be drunk ?

Obvious it was brake failure

Glare, from swamp gas, reflected off of Venus,etc...  Everything  but the Yeti that ran across the road distracting him

Distracted driving?  Brake failure?  Asleep at the wheel?  Drunk as a skunk?  I am sure there is a valid excuse for running into a 16 foot high bus with a dozen flashing lights.
