Hello all,

I would like to know how to get visa to Sweden!Is it difficult to get tourist visa there?And what do i need to for apply the visa?

My boyfriend is English guy whos now live and working in Sweden.So he's want me to visit him the end of February.So anyone please can give me an advice would be great.

I think if everything ok will apply for visa in Feb.

How easy it is depends on your nationality and how long you want to stay. You boyfriend being English but staying in Sweden might complicate things a little.

Generally, a Thai citizen visiting a partner, relative or friend in Sweden for up to three months either needs to show that she has enough money herself to pay for expenses, or the contact in Sweden needs to guarantee funding. You also need a medical insurance.

But my BF live there for 5 years now and work for Coca cola company and got work permit in Sweden.and he'll take care of me while im there.So how long it's take to get visa and yes i would like to be there for 3 months

It's hard to tell how long time it takes to get a visa. It varies. Depends on how many people are applying, if your case is seen as straightforward or not, where he lives and so on, but the procedure is usually not that difficult. Maybe a month? You better ask the embassy.

Just be as honest as you can be (within reason of course), that is usually the best way to tackle situations like this in the long run.

What you need to bring with you to the Embassy is , 2 pictures of you , Your boyfriends full name and address and if he has a Swedish security nummber and invitation letter from him , a copy of your boyfriends passport , a copy of his bank statment , copy of his workpermit or a letter from his compny that show that he's employed there . And you need a good healt/ travel insurance . They don't approve a cheep insurance. And be honest with everything when you fill out the form . The time for get a visa to sweden if aproved is 1 week

You need all what Lewin has said PLUS your bank book that shows you have enough to cover the trip a good line to follow is 40 euros for each day you are there. You have not mentioned your circumstances ie. do you have a job? Do you have any assets? the reason i ask is because the embassy usually look for you to return to Thailand and they take your assets into account giving you a reason to return.

Your boyfriends invitation letter must state that he will take care of all your travel and living expenses. Also, the travel insurance must cover you to the value of 30.000 euro.

If you have a Schengen visa you can visit France as well.

The 15 Schengen countries are: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Greece, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain and Sweden.

Yes you can, if you don't travel outside the Schengen countries.

If you travel surface via Denmark and Germany/Belgium or by air directly to France, you will not pass any immigration-point as there are none within the Schengen-States.

But the problems is that i couldnt find the ticket...Cant believe it's all full till April and not even know whats date i can book the ticket...So now im on reserve just waitin for them to call...not much chance...

Not many carriers fly to Stockholm from Bangkok but if you can get to Amsterdam there are 5 flights a day from Amsterdam to Stockholm with KLM (price is $255 return) from Expedia
