was a good day out.

of course it was totally rigged, but still fun if you understood that.

Gotta figure that the land there is worth billions, especially when redeveloped into shopping malls and highrises, but unfortunate to see another green area in the center of Bangkok get swallowed up by the concrete jungle.

A nice Sunday diversion, that's for sure. I visited this place on my first trip to BKK years ago, and there was only one other farang in stands, an Irishman. We had a good time drinking 35 baht beers and cheering on the ponies. A good day out.

This makes one wonder about the future of the golf course one sees from the BTS between Sala Daeng and Ratchapadisek.

Talk about a huge piece of valuable real estate.
