Alternatively, you could introduce them to my ex-wife's cooking, they wouldn't last the week.

You might try mopping with vinegar to wash away their scent markers.

Borax one part, sugar two parts, dissolve in hot water. Pour into water bottle caps, place along trails. Ants eat the mixture, take it back to the nest, feed it to the queen and larvae - die

Because you have large tiles the chances are you will have voids under your tiles. You need to sprinkle ant killer on the tiles where you see their columns.

Interesting thought. Well possible. How would you apply the poison, see photo? The reason for looking at a mopping option is because it seems much easier to apply to a large area..

It's more likely the ants have created a trail, follow it and find both ends, when found, spray the source and destination points with ant spray - killing the ants in the middle won't solve the problem.

If you don't have trail or a "street" chances are you're seeing discovery ants in search of food or a place to nest, buy a can of Bayon ant spray and spray the baseboards and around the windows and doors.

No Queen, no larvae, no colony.

If you can find the nest ...

The best way is Borax

Another way is put it in a circle and a drop of honey in the center.

Baygon Green. It's oil based, so persists for a couple of days.

I have figured they are unstoppable.

I use Windex, blue ammonia glass cleaner where I see them.

Yesterday, I saw the little fast ants, have not see them since cold season here in Chiang Mai.

I confirm...borax as wombat has suggested it.  If the nest is outside, 3 tablespoons of borax in 1/2 liter of water on the nest will do it...

Where do you buy Borax in Pattaya (noticed you are in Nongprue)  and what is it called?

The flamethrower looks very impressive. But we are not yet there. Your comments are dissecting the problem well=
No street and only here and there a few ants. Obviously searching for food. Not much here I guess.
I wanted to squash any potential problem at the root.

Another convenient product is BAYER Quantum available in Home Pro stores.

Comes in a small plastic tube in two strengths, one for ants the other for cockroaches. About ThB 270 may seem expensive but you need very small amounts as explained below.

Contains  IMIDACLOPRID

Where you see ants trailing, squeeze a drop the size of a match head in their path and smear it into a small circle and they will soon cluster around the perimeter to feed. When the drop is cleared they will have returned to the nest and given up tasters to the Queen and mates and all are eventually poisoned.

I tried many 'fixes' including borax but the had limited effectiveness. The Bayer however has worked for me and both our kitchens are clear of ants.

It may take a few days but is convenient since you can target specific points to avoid contact with pets or children.

We use neem. It does not kill the ants but makes it an uncomfortable environment for them.

The posters that suggest finding their origins are correct in my view. But beware of using poisons.

Chaindritte is the nuclear options for ants, search it out and use it sparingly, there is not a single ant within three miles of my house, approximately. :post-4641-1156694572:

Do you mean vinegar by itself, or mixed with water, say 50%?

Thaiwasadu, it's a white bottle with red cap and black writing on the side, four different sizes of bottles, a liquid that must be mixed, lesser strength spray also for sale.

Thaiwasadu, it's a chain of stores in Thailand!

I would wipe the floor (ant areas) with straight vinegar. However be careful on the floor used on, might not take well to wood floors.

OK Thanks

My lady buys this white chalk type that when she draws a line around the doorways seems to keep the ants out.

l have the same problem. Wash the floor. There looking for a feed

There are a lot of good ant killers. Put them in their place and the ants will take it back to their

mound and all will Die

True

Give them corn flour, they love it but cannot digest it so they starve to death.

Little bit slow method but no chemicals involved.
