I am seeking info on alleviating a problem that is only in the house kitchen and bath  lines,  surging and then almost stopping.

It does not do this on outside lines nor when I use the flash heater in the shower (which I suppose regulates the flow?)

New pump - LG-Star 370 just installed before the rains started and worked fine for 3 weeks   but now the surging is getting progressively worse. Is it related to the water level in the well ?  I have searched Google for info on this and can find very little that is helpful and the product  literature claims no maintenance is needed  and does not address the problem .

I'm thinking I can adjust the pressure  in some way??

 Thanks in advance for replies.

? how deep is the well

? what is the flow rate

? did they put a non return valve at the bottom of well line

* Googled the pump & couldn't find so I went onto Lucky Pro - Seen one very similar & am having doubts about your pump being best suited for you application

Oh no its a Super Lucky Star Pro Reliable MK2 from the Guangzhou pump foundry.

Joking aside, these super cheap Chinese pumps work well on shallow wells pumping to a tank but not so good as automatic house pumps. They come many flavours and brand labels.

Theres a good chance the bladder tank or pressure switch is kaput already resulting in the pump only performing well at high flow.

Below is a neighbours Lucky Pro Super Star pumping from well to a tank for many years without problems. I disconnected the pressure switch a while back and it threw out its broken motor cooling fan.

I think it's the wrong pump to have

Going of some info I found

MQS Series seem to have no Lift capability compared to other series

Output 45 lt / min (hope you don't have to many taps on )

40 mtr H Max, ok

Cheap pump around 2500 bht

I think the man across the road is may using a smaller version (minus the air tank ) to fill his tanks from the mains

I'm surprised it works at all after 3 weeks.

As with everything, you get what you pay for.

Is the pump turning on and off, or is it just the pressure surging?

Does restricting the flow at the tap reduce the problem?

As others have noted, it could be your bore can't keep up with the demand.

Yeah.... I thought it seemed cheap but the outdoor spigots really work fine and I only use one tap at a time so I'll just see how long I get. Maybe the problem is in the  house, there was another pump at one time at the inlet to the house, long ago gone bad and disconnected which I'd forgotten about  I suspect that might be my problem  Thank you for your advice

Good questions,  I'll have a friend come to morrow and we can do some experiments , this problem is only in the house taps.  It seems to help to open more taps and  the  hot shower  heater alleviates it completely   Thanks

Or the level of the well has  risen which is my first idea, hence asking about how to adjust the pressure,  it looks like the same as on my old well. Thank you for the reply do you know how to adjust the pressure?

So you had an old well. Why was a new one required ?

So now the pump feeds straight from the new well to the house ?

You said you had another old pump that went to the house prior, on the house side of the system (maybe from a tank ?)

The new pump you have is only good for a very shallow Well, no more then 8 mtrs

Maybe the pump isn't drawing quite enough water, due to the uplift height to push the volume required for outlet far & higher then a outside tap (this is all speculation )

Make sure you have experienced diagnosis before any pressure switch adjustment is made.

You could be suffering from the well water dropping too low during high consumption and the pump is managing to recover its prime.

Some feedback from what happens at various flow rates would help.
