Self defence - personal trainer (Pattaya)

Featured Replies

Hi, I am looking for an English speaking foreign trainer in Pattaya who can give private lessons of female specific self-defense techniques once or twice a week.

Can you recommend anybody or know where I can find such kind of coach?

Very skilled martial arts guy, and a very good person.  Excellent for a lady(or guy).I

Tel: 038248079 or 0951589900038-24095-158-9900 NFO@313TRAININGSTUDI

OP ... is it personal defense or martial art training you are looking for ....because they are two different skill sets  and the two do not always marry well if taught in parallel....for personnel defense you are better learning 3 or 4 really effective techniques which you can execute well . rather than martial arts which may look well in the dojo  but are not always effective in the urban environment and take several year of dedication to master to a half decent standard..

Send me some pics and I will let you know if I can be of assistance.

Eyes [sharp fingernails]

Throat [1)folded fingers strike]

A good snap kick to the testicles.

You have to be fast, so train repetitions.

No ...know your environment....listen to your gut if it doesn't feel right run and scream  and keep running  and keep screaming attackers do not like publicity 40 kg girl will never win  with all the training in the world against a 80kgs rapist ..

Surprised there is a work permit for this.  Not impressed by the videos on  the website.  Looks like a bad dance choreography.  Better off to go to a local Muay Thai place that also speaks english.

It is definitely personal defense training, that I am looking for. The only purpose of this training is to learn how to defend myself in critical situation. It's not about martial arts or looking good. It's about how to stay safe.

Problem, without regular practice, it is totally useless.

at the various talat nat/ local market you can often find spray to buy,

then figure out how to draw that spray fast and reliably,

with the exit of the bottle always pointing in the direction you intend.

another way, or perhaps combined, is to have a small portable alarm

you can set off in a heartbeat, i'm sure they are for sale somewhere,

perhaps on internet.

LOL....but you must first ask your attacker to wait for a few seconds, while you lick your finger and hold it in the air to check the wind conditions, so you don't accidentally spray yourself!

i do not think so, tear gas bottles has an incredibly strong jet

and there is no inherent reason a pepper spray bottle will be weaker.

i would try out the power of the jet before

i rely on it tho.

the hard part is figuring out a quick draw that will consistently end up

with the jet pointing in the intended direction

Play it safe and always wear a gas mask when walking about.  People will learn not to f&*k with you.

hand to hand combat is a liability for a woman half the weight of

a possible attacker, all efforts should be made to avoid that stage,

i think the best bet is a quick jumping balls kick,

so perhaps tae kwon do is the way to go,

it sure is the most entertaining IMO

I think the best bet is turn around and run . :)

That will work sometimes, but other times the attacker might be a fast runner.  Then what?

Plus, at least, hundreds of hours of heavy sparring not just throwing some half assed punches at some pads or a heavy bag. Otherwise just practice running and screaming..that goes for the girls as well

How about sending her for Muay Tai  lessons?

Ring sports don't necessarily equate to the street. A very experienced fighter will of course have an advantage but the only way to be a good street fighter is to have a lot of fights in the street. As others have said best bet is to learn a few really good techniques hope like hell they work and then run as fast as your legs will carry you. Life ain't a movie.

I think the important thing is to develop a little confidence. Most guys aren’t badasses, and often lose interest at the first sign of resistance. A few good moves and a can of mace, the idea is to get away

Combo of BJJ and Muay Thai. Basically an mma gym is what you want.

No ..these gym learn you to fight in a controlled environment....an urban attack by a predictor has no relevance.it is a different scenario   .  I taught basic techniques to females  ..the first thing we taught.. was the attacker is not attacking them   the  attacker is attacking there daughters or sons .... a mother will always fight   to protect there off spring  .... women  in general  are more likely to be passive if the  attack is on them . this is not a human trait . a mother will all way fight for her off spring no matter what animal they may  be .
