You have to smile, or have lots of 'people dying on your property insurance'.

We have this Balanese style roof over about half the pool. Great except SWMBO is constantly complaining about those lazy little birds who don't fly north for the winter, but roost and build nests in the roof above the pool.

So after a couple of months I sprang into action and rounded up a couple of locals from the Wat to fix the problem. Cunningly they decided to use the fine fishing line mesh to enclose the roosting area. Regardless of the black mesh, green string and yellow cable ties it seems to work.

Only twice I had to slother into the pool to retrieve all the roof screws that keep falling off the aluminium ladder.

It did get a bit tricky with their completely patched up extension chord going from one side of the pool to the other in the water. I pointed out that this was bad practice, specially if holding the stainless steel stairs rail into the pool for support.

They decided they needed to put the Al ladder in the pool to drill some more holes to attach the net. I could just see someone on the Al ladder in the pool, with the patched up extension chord in the pool as they drilled holes. I said NO, and gave them my battery operated drill and screw driver.

Thank goodness I was home watching them.

Difficult to see, but no more birds and 2 live guys.

What's most important (as my Headspace meditation guru says) is relationships, and a good relationship brings happiness. SWMBO is happy. [emoji2]
