How often do you get skin checks here?
No it’s not. You get very little D3 from food. The human body (just like plants, actually, needs sunlight and cholesterol to get usable D vitamin. The worst skin cancer, melanoma, is often found on the body where the sun doesn’t reach. -

How can I minimise import duty on my personal use musical instruments?
I think you have to make some inquiries with moving companies. Situations (could) change all the time and they should know a lot, all. They also have connections, you will never have. Be aware the companies are moving from DOOR to DOOR! Otherwise you have your box in BK harbor and you have to take care for transportation in Thailand. You don t like that, or do? -

U.S. 3.5 percent tax on remittance transfers is still in the Senate version of big bill
That has not changed. However, what people are pointing out is that banks and other institutions will be unwilling to make the investment to verify citizenship. It will be easier and cheaper to simply say "get it back at refund time". So they will take it from every transaction. -

Has anyone used Friendly Thai Visa’s airport safe entry service? Only real experiences plz
If foreigners are allowed to do things like buy land, it can be a huge problem. I have seen this 1st hand, in other locales. But, Thailand has a large market-sector devoted to this, and have safeguards in place to minimize the downside. Yes, prices are inflated in tourist-areas, but go a few KM away, and a meal (for example) is a fraction of the cost. In Thailand, more higher-wage country visitors = more jobs and wealth flowing into the country.
