Police are hunting for a young man after he allegedly shot dead his rival in downtown Khon Kaen late on Thursday night.

The gunfight between two young men happened in front of a noodle shop on Ban Kok road in Tambon Ban Ped of Muang district.

Komphet Nakwaen, 19, was killed at the scene and his girlfriend was shot in her arm and sent to Khon Kaen Hospital.

Police are checking with clinics to see if they have treated a young man shot in his abdomen.

Witnesses told police that Komphet stopped his motorcycle in front of the noodle shop before two other motorcycle arrived. A motorcyclist was seen walking over to talk to Komphet and then pulling out his gun.

Komphet was seen pulling out his gun and firing at the other man, hitting his abdomen, before he then returned fire, killing Komphet and injuring his girlfriend. The injured man fled the scene.

Woman?

College?

Overtook him while driving?

Didn't bow to him after accidentally brushing past him?

Does the manhood complex count? :cheesy:

Woman is my bet. And a history of trouble.

They walk off from a quarrel ("unresolved") just to come back next day and shoot you.

In Ban Kok rd. there is the North Eastern Uni and a Technical college.

A granddaughter was at that college for two years and so I know the rd. quite well.

She lived in a girls only dormitory. Access for male forbidden.

Maybe it's my "subjective view" but to me it looked like the overwhelming majority of students were girls 18+.

And, of course, both parties involved were LEGAL GUN OWNERS, right?

:shock1:

Of course

All these "MANHUNTS" and cops NEVER publish pictures to protect us/the public from these idiots walking around like timebombs carrying guns all the time....then again, you have to remember where you are and how these so-called "POLICE" think.

You should remember, however, that it is nearly impossible for police, all over the world, to do something about illegal guns.

Standard answer from the government is tightening the gun laws, which means legal gun owners are confronted with more rules.

And really, that does nothing against illegal guns.

Rule of thumb, for every legal registered gun there will be 3 illegal unregistered guns.

Don't believe what your government might tell you, they lie, because they don't know, nor does the police.

Safer just to assume every thai man has a gun.

It is Ban Pet not Ban Ped. Ban Kok Road is in Ban Pet where the North Eastern Uni and the Technical Collage are located.

There is no Ban Ped in Khon Kaen

No need to tell me where Ban Kok rd. is.

Just south of Big C.

I also identified the spot where the shooting took place (quite certain).

Opposite the apartment house seen on the left:

Two food places side by side.

Yes, as I wrote.

And the report in Thai news also mentions North Eastern University.

A news video from CH7 clearly shows that food spot opposite the apartment house.

And just a few steps towards Mitraphap from the crime site there is a bilingual school.

A German mate sends his two children there.

And didn't I make clear that I agree with you?

Just read my post #14
