Car Tax Renewal Big C

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if they still do the tax renewals at Big C Sukhumvit Road. It used to be on a Saturday. Would help if i could do it when doing my shopping.

As far as I know it still happens on some Saturdays. The BigC service desk people seem to know which ones.

I did my car at Big C yesterday and tried to do 2 motorbikes without success. I think it is every Saturday until 2:00 pm. If you need compulsory insurance, it is a separate desk; yesterday, the insurance desk was out of paper to print the motorcycle insurance receipt, so I could not renew the registration of my motorbikes. The car was easy, as the compulsory insurance was included with my private insurance; through in less than 5 minutes.  If your car/motorbike is more than 5 years old (the period has been extended for cars to 7 years, I think) you will need to have it inspected first -- there is a place on Sukumvit 44.

been 7 years for cars for a long time.

There is a testing station on Pattaya Tai Soi 4 just a few hundred yards down from the Big C access, they will also do your tax although you have to go back another day to collect it.

Good luck.

I went there a few weeks ago and the guy was a no show.
