Hi, sorry if I'm in the wrong forum!

I am taking my wife to England next month ( she already has visit visa )

It's been about 16 years since we lived there and even longer since we entered at Heathrow.

I have heard many guys say that when they arrive at UK immigration they take their spouse through the same channel instead of sending her through non-EU channel.

Can anyone verify if this is allowed as I don't want her to have to start queuing again if she's in the wrong channel!

Many thanks!

It certainly makes it easier for yourselves and the Border Force Officer if you present yourselves at the UK Border together, in case the officer want to ask you questions together.

We go to whichever section has the shorter queue, which is often the non EU section, I just say “we’re together” and the officer takes it from there, never an issue in either queue.

Shortest queue or the one that has the best staffing level.

This is often the non-EU queue and often the better organised one.

Go through together!
