Right up until his tragic death last week, Anthony Bourdain celebrated different food cultures and cuisines from around the world.

 

He filmed a number of his popular TV shows in Thailand.

I'm still mad at him for doing this. For removing himself from my life forever. And utterly heartbroken. He's one of those rare celebs that doesn't act or behave like one.

The sting is that we follow the adventurer in hopes of living vicariously through them...and the adventurer has died. So we grieve our avatar who we also felt was a friend of sorts.
