Ear speaker kaput

Featured Replies

Samsung A3(2016) ear speaker quit working for no apparent reason.  External speaker, system sounds ok.   Headphone jack ok.  Mic ok, other party can hear me but I can't hear them unless I put it on Speaker phone.  Same problem in LINE and Skype Apps.

Tried soft reset and a few other suggestions from Youtube videos but avoided a full factory reset as this "seems" like a hardware fault.

Is this a common fault?  Is internal ear speaker replacement a fairly straight forward job for most Thai phone repair shops?   Thanks.

Jumping on the back of this thread (if you don't mind!) I'm wondering if it's easy to get the wires replaced on a couple of in ear phones. They have great sound and work fine, but the plastic cables have frayed through in several places.
