looks good...is that the same green curry that's available in the Lobo packet at the supermarket? if so ye can put that one together inna heartbeat with all local ingredients...

I mentioned somewhere earlier the light miso available at makro? got back from the talaat this am with locally made tofu and green onions and made a soup without noodles and it was superb...the dissolved miso paste is so filling that ye don't need much else, just some diced fresh tofu and a green onion garnish and mmm, mmm goooood....

We get our curry pastes in bulk...fresh from the deli/produce section of our local Tesco/Lotus and store the excess in the fridge.

Do both foo and kob (as in muu kob) mean the same thing?

Krob is crispy, crunchy while foo is more like fluffy.

Thanks! Can you give me an example of a fluffy Thai food?

Thanks, I will order it. I want to eat more catfish. So the catfish itself is not crispy?

I love yum. And I love crispy. Fluffy is on my list. I like Isan crispy fish salad. Though some I've had has been sweet, which I don't care for.

Does duk = catfish? What is foo?

I love Thai food.  My doctor put me on a restricted diet for life.  All the many restrictions make up almost all of what makes up Thai food, especially street food.  My wife is THE best Thai food cook and I miss it so much.  Please enjoy the delights for me.  All the dishes shown on this post looked so delicious.

Out of interest, what diet is it?

No salt, no MSG, no soy sauce, no fish sauce, no curry, no oil or fryed food (salt free butter ok but no margerine), nothing fermented (including cheese), no meat fat, but Thai spicey is ok.

So basically no Thai food that I love and I cook my own American style food with those precautions.  Baked, grilled, boiled, and broiled.  I use a lot of Thai spicey, garlic, and onions to mask the missing salt taste, you get used to it.

My wife makes the absolute best yum pla duk foo (crispy catfish served with mango salad on the side).  Yum = salad, pla duk = catfish and foo = crispy.

I think I've only had this once at a restaurant and it made a big impression.  Because it's deep fried, I don't think I should eat as often as I would like to.
