Need advice after quadriceps operation

Featured Replies

About 3 weeks ago following a fall at home I had an operation to repair my quadriceps in right knee as it was "completely torn". Fibreware no 2 and orthocord sutures used.

I am taking pain killers as my knee can get red and swollen.

I wear a brace and do exercises as instructed by the physio.

The range of movement in my right knee/leg is very restricted and I want to know,

1. Is this usual following such an operation?

2. What is causing the restriction on movement?

3. Will the movement in my knee/leg return to normal, and if so how long before this will happen?

Thanks very much any help.
