Yasothon teenager shot dead

A teenager was found shot dead in Yasothon's Muang district late Wednesday night.

 

The Muang Yasothon police station was alerted that a motorcyclist had been found with bullet wounds at the entrance to Ban Khum Ngern village in Tambon Khum Ngern at 10pm.

 

The body of Apidej Khampom, 19, lay next to his motorcycle. He had been shot once in his right cheek.

 

The body was sent for autopsy at the provincial hospital.

The story in the OP is extremely meager and misses a lot.

I read through some Thai language articles and a video.

Not that I understood it to the exact detail but:

 

the victim was in a group of speeding motorcycles

(his motorcycle being of the pimped "racer" type with no registration)

they got into some chase/threat with a car driven by the shooter

the victims motorcycle was hit and he fell to the road

the car stopped

the driver (shooter) of the car got in conflict with the group of youngsters

the victim attacked him with a nuckle-duster

the driver then shot the victim three times with a 9 mm

the driver did not flee but waited for police to arrive

Yes, not a good translation but obviously this 19 year old was not an innocent little boy.

Lakey if they tried a bit of gun control maybe not all they can save some lives It is like the wild west here everybody has a gun. Mostly bought on the black market I would say. But then again look at America who is supposed to be a civilized country? When they decide to start shooting they kill lots in one go.

Following a German language article the car driver was a cop (off duty?).

The youngsters did a street race.

The cop chased them and managed to overtake the group which brought the victim down.
