Night time baht bus frequency on Pattaya Tai?

Featured Replies

Hi folks,

I'm thinking of renting a place at the Grass Suites down on Pattaya Tai not far from Big C. I've used the baht bus on this route a number of times on my way to the Beach and Second Road during daylight hours, without trouble, but have yet to do so after dark. Can anyone please tell me what the frequency is like at night? I've heard a while back that the songtaews up on Klang tend to dry up a bit from early evening, so I'm a tad worried of something like that being the case on Tai also.

There will always be  a motorcycle taxi.

No doubt, but I'm interested in songtaews thanks.

Likely best just to go test it out yourself rather than taking someone's word on it.

The frequency depends on how quickly they fill up outside the temple. It's not something on which I would depend.

Seems turning left into Bukhao is the most popular route up Pattaya Tai. Doubt there'd be too many going further up late night.

I wouldn't rent any accommodation off the main baht bus routes, unless you like walking. Not worth the aggro mate.

Thanks the replies everyone, you've helped me to reassess and I've decided to rent somewhere off Thappraya instead.

Good decision. My live-in girlfriend work about 3/4 way down Tai at a big Chinese spa. Getting a baht bus when she got off at night around 11pm was brutal. Most nites she would get a bike-taxi to 2nd then get a baht bus to Jomtien.
